Don Loeb fosters relationships between venture capital firms, corporations, and startups at Headlands West. He has over 25 years of operational experience – developing, scaling, mentoring, acquiring, and selling technology companies.
Prior to Headlands West, Don was VP Corporate Development & Strategy at Techstars, supporting over 2,000 portfolio companies during his 5 year tenure. His team assisted hundreds of companies with strategic partnerships, customer development, fundraising, and M&A.
Prior to Techstars, Don held a variety of product and partnership roles throughout Silicon Valley. Most recently, Don was the head of business development at both Storify (acquired by Livefyre / Adobe) and Typekit (acquired by Adobe) and worked as a product manager and product partnerships lead on iGoogle and other search offerings at Google. Earlier, he ran business development at FeedBurner (acquired by Google), and held product business development roles at Yahoo, and iSyndicate.
Finally, Don served on the Global and Emerging Risks advisory board of at RAND, is an advisor to Let’s Enhance / Claid.ai, Let’s Mod, Emtrain, and SmartShoot, and a mentor at Bread and Butter Ventures, Xoogler.co, and Greater Colorado Venture Fund.
Don lives in San Francisco, CA and has a B.A. degree in Applied Economics from UC Berkeley (#gobears).
